A mixing desk is usually the main focal point of any recording project, so it’s essential that you become familiar with its operation. In this chapter we are going to explore the many different controls you would normally expect to find on a traditional stand-alone mixing desk. You will, however, find most of these controls relevant to any type of mixing desk, whether it is stand-alone or incorporated into a computer software program.
