Two different philosophies

Two different philosophies underlie amplifier design. These are the philosophies we identified in Chapter 1. One is appropriate for musical applications, the other for high quality monitoring and reproduction. The problem is, many entirely specious and time-wasting debates centre on a failure to make an adequate distinction between the two.
