8.7. Conclusions

We applied a design methodology, based on separating functionality from architecture, and communication from computation, to a real application and architectural platform from the wireless networking domain. We performed architectural exploration considering both on-chip communication aspects and various pipelining and reconfiguration options for computation. During this experiment, we also extended the capabilities of the tool that we used, in order to describe the mixed control/dataflow nature of the application.
