The new IP protocol out there is IP version 6. One day or another, you will come across it.

Both the 6PE and 6VPE solution require PE routers that are capable of IPv6. Both solutions use the peer-to-peer model with its benefits: one routing peer for the customer edge (CE) router across the MPLS backbone—namely, the connected PE router—and an easy provisioning model. The provisioning model is the same as the one in the MPLS VPN for IPv4 solution: Adding a site requires a change in configuration only on the local PE router, but not on the remote PE routers or on the remote CE routers.
