All of the previous chapters in this book have discussed a variety of advanced or new Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-based applications, ranging from remote access, support of new routing protocols, and multi-virtual private network (VPN) operation of CE routers to the inclusion of new IP services within the MPLS VPN architecture, including security and IP multicast. This chapter focuses on troubleshooting service provider networks designed around MPLS-based solutions.
