As explained in Chapter 13, the MPEG-4 Systems standard defines (as of December 2001) four graphics profiles: Simple 2D, Complete 2D, Complete, and 3D Audio.
Moreover, four additional graphics profiles were under study or already included in amendments under ballot: X3D Interactive was under study [N4506] and Simple 2D+Text, Core 2D, and Advanced 2D were under ballot [N4408].
