Chapter 19. Importing and Editing Text

Most of the time, whether you’re working with QuarkXPress, PageMaker, or InDesign, you import text from a Microsoft Word file (or some other word processor). However, sometimes we need to type text in the program, or do heavy amounts of editing in InDesign after text has already been placed. This chapter gives you some tips on how to do this easily in InDesign. We’ll also tell you what your options are when importing text, and when flowing text through InDesign pages.
