Get clear, get free, and get going.
The second aspect of the formula—get free—is an important step because after you get clear, you really can't get going until you get free. Getting free is all about creating the proper mind-set when interacting with people, planning activities, managing money, and looking at life, as well as eliminating self-limiting thoughts. As Dr. Wayne W. Dyer says, “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” With the proper mind-set, you can create a bridge that can take you from getting clear to getting going.
One of the major reasons why people can't get free is because they have various memes influencing them on a subconscious level. What is a meme? A meme, according to the Urban Dictionary, is an idea, belief, “or pattern of behavior that spreads throughout a culture either vertically by cultural inheritance (from parents to children) or horizontally through the culture (from peers, social media, or popular entertainment).1
A common meme is that if you grow up, go to college, get a good job, get married, raise 2.3 kids, and own a home, then you'll be happy. Another meme is the more money you make, the more things you can buy, which also brings satisfaction and happiness.
