Moving Fast

For companies to get into the express lanes and move to the next level of performance, they need to think differently as they develop both the business vision and strategy and operations strategy. Otherwise they are trying to outperform their competitors by doing the same things better, an effort that leads only to incremental improvement. To reach the top 10 percent, what I call world-class performance, companies need to innovate, using disruptive ideas to move to a new plane of performance. They need to not just think outside the box; they need to do away with the box. Using the power of speed, partnerships, and world-class thinking, companies can truly change the scenery.
