Congratulations on your new Motorola Xoom! As you may know, this is one sleek device. It won Best of Show at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show; I know, I was there to see it with my own eyes! I went to CES for the sole purpose of choosing a device for this book, and it sure was an easy choice after seeing it in action.

The reason the Motorola Xoom is so special is two-fold. First, it's the only tablet currently running Android 3.0, Honeycomb. Honeycomb is an advanced mobile operating system, and it's what enables you to “operate” the “system.” It's high-tech; it's open to developers; and updates are pushed to it when they're approved and available. This means it's always in the best shape possible, and developers can be extremely innovative when working with it. You also have access to the Market, which enables you to easily browse, download, and install apps that do just about everything. Second, the hardware is outrageous. It has dual-core CPUs, is 4G-compatible, has an HDMI out port, and has front- and rear-facing digital/video cameras and a 10-inch screen with the display capabilities it needs to offer an impressive video-watching experience.
