When I write a book on a broad subject such as Office 2010 or Windows 7, it always comes with a little wiggle room with regard to when it's due to the publisher. Not this book. We wanted to get this book out to you, the reader, as soon as we could. Unfortunately, we could not get our hands on a Xoom before it was released to the public. That meant that when we got our Xoom, about the same time you got yours, perhaps, we started frantically studying, playing, hacking, and writing at a frenzied pace. Therefore, to get the book published as soon as humanly possible, we had to incorporate a lot of resources, from project editors to copy editors to technical editors, all the way down the line to layout personnel and printers. That's a lot of people to line up and keep organized—and to keep on schedule and focused on the task at hand. To that end, there are a lot of people to thank!
