Curious About ''Job Enrichment''?

You may have wondered about Frederick Herzberg's concept of job enrichment, which was mentioned at the beginning of this chapter. But now that you've learned how to use the Motivational Task Plan Form, you have actually learned something about job enrichment. Herzberg found that when he redesigned jobs to make them into more whole and meaningful units of work, the employees were more motivated and performed better. In other words, he maximized the purpose aspect of the work, and thus made the work more likely to satisfy the employee's need for achievement.
