Chapter 10. Using Generators

Need a stylish, animated background in a hurry? The Generators category in the Library contains a variety of useful patterns, gradients, and solids—some static and some already animated that can be used as background elements, masks, displacement maps, or other compositional elements. These generators all have parameters that you can adjust and animate, and you can save your modified generators into the Library for future use. By changing their default values, animating their parameters with behaviors (Chapter 6) or keyframes (Chapter 7), adding filters (Chapter 9), and changing blend modes (Chapter 4), you can dramatically alter how these generators look and behave.
