The Missionaries of CharityToday

MOTHER TERESA left this earth in 1997. She appointed Sister Mary Nirmala Joshi to succeed her in leading the Missionaries of Charity into the next century. In 2009, Sister Nirmala was succeeded by Sister Mary Prema. Since Mother Teresa’s death, the Missionaries of Charity have added 163 houses in eleven countries on five continents, totaling 757 centers in 134 countries so far.
