The truth about learning is that it’s hard to create experiences that are relevant to diverse people. And supporting the transfer of learning is even harder. Our brains forget. The neurological mechanisms for memory encoding and retrieval require time and practice to develop our internal network of knowledge. And everyone’s neural network—and its structures of mental schema—is unique to her experiences.
