Faces in the Crowd

Traveling twice a week, speaking here or abroad, lands me in many airports, with lots of waiting in long lines, yet I often see faces in the crowd that give me hope. Whenever I see one of our soldiers in uniform in an airport, I always go up and say, “I hope you understand how much we appreciate what you are doing for all of us and our country.” Invariably, the reply is “Thank you, ma’am” or “Just doing my job.” So many of our service people are so young, they touch my heart.
