Chapter 9. Opsview Pro Features
As seen in Chapter 8, Upgrading to Opsview Pro or Opsview Enterprise, our new system comes with some additional features that we can use to further enhance our monitoring environment.
In this chapter, we will be looking at three great features that come with each Opsview Pro installation.
We will start off with autodiscovery, followed by SNMP traps, and conclude with multitenancy.
Autodiscovery
The first feature we will look at is the autodiscovery tool that allows you to scan your network for hosts that could be monitored by Opsview.
There are two types of scans available from the feature: a basic network scan and a special VMware scan (more scan types may be added in the future).
