Chapter 4. Agents, Clouds, and Modules
So far we have mainly focused on the server side of Opsview and have looked at what it can do for us to make monitoring more effective and easy to maintain.
In this chapter, we will be looking at servers and services that we would like to monitor and some of the considerations on how we can monitor them.
We will also look at some of the modules you can use that are currently part of Opsview Core.
Using agents
Opsview offers agents for various platforms such as Linux and Windows, so check out the Downloads page on the Opsview website to get the most current version for your platform (see Chapter 1, Opsview Core Basics, for the URL of the download page).
