Week 4: Supersize your super
I know, I know, you’re just not that into it. Superannuation doesn’t interest you. It’s years before you retire and you can’t access your money any earlier. Plus the government keeps changing the rules — they’ve made more than 2000 changes to the legislation since 1992. Who knows whether the money will even be there in a few decades? The government will probably work out some way to get their hands on it between now and then. Even if they don’t, you’re:
• planning to live fast and die young
• never going to retire
• expecting the world to be destroyed by choking pollution and rising oceans before then
• intending to win lotto
• just not that into it.
