What’s in It for Me?
After examining the various aspects of modern mentoring, we now come to the quintessential moment when you ask yourself: “What’s in it for me?”
I was reminded of a striking what’s in it for me (WIIFM) moment in my life during a recent family gathering. Most of the older men on my father’s side of the family worked at least a portion of their careers—if not their entire careers—in mining, manufacturing, or a similar industry. As a result, seemingly everyone on this side of the family lives with the unfortunate reality of being hard of hearing.
