Peer-to-Peer Learning in Mentoring Networks

In 2003, when I took charge of River, I was very passionate and knew a lot about organizational learning. However, I knew almost nothing about the critical aspects of running a business, such as business development, sales, and marketing. I did not know how to manage the finances or how to create a strategic business plan, and I needed to learn about software engineering and coding so that I could manage the people I had hired. I had a vision, but I needed help getting there. It turned out that I needed a mentoring network that I could reach out to for help, information, and guidance.
