J. Paulo Davim is an Aggregate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Aveiro, Portugal, and is Head of MACTRIB (Machining and Tribology Research Group). His main research interests include machining/manufacturing and tribology/surface engineering. He is the Editor in Chief of several international journals, Guest Editor of journals, Book Editor, Book Series Editor and Scientific Advisor for many international journals and conferences.
