In MMOs, players who engage in F2P are buying things that don’t exist but that instead are emergent composites of the interactions between bit patterns, rules, and illusion; they can’t be isolated in physical space.

People who engage in RMT also do this, and furthermore they’re selling things that (unless their original owners say so) are not theirs to sell.
