Having access to the same information that’s available back in the home office can be quite convenient. This starts with general information about contacts, scheduling, and other support group systems, but it extends much further than that. Having access to enterprise systems, details about direct reports and employees, and access to other reports and functions on how the business is running also is crucial. Many PDAs and smart phones and the standard laptops, as well as the emerging tablet and handheld market, are providing some of this critical information.
