Acknowledgments

I want to start off by acknowledging this spark of interest that happened in the mid-1990s with the launch of the first Palm Pilot, for both my colleagues and team members at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, where we first started to explore the idea of mobile learning on handheld devices.

Next, I’d like to thank colleagues and team members from RWD Technologies, where we did some of the first commercial implementations of mobile learning, including award-winning initiatives, many of which you will see high-lighted in this book. And most recently, I would like to acknowledge the collaboration and partnership of the University of Central Florida’s Institute for Simulation and Training.
