Chapter 2. Dynamics

This chapter explores the mysteries of dynamics processing. Sometimes turning the volumes of specific parts up or down is not enough to balance the volume of many different layers of music, so sharper tools must be applied. We’ll look at compressors, expanders, limiters, and gates and see how to apply them all. As usual, most memory locations in this chapter’s session have corresponding plug-in settings so you can compare your results with mine.
