The Evasion of Prop 209 at the University of California
IN THE SPRING OF 1999, on assignment from the New York Times Magazine, James Traub visited some campuses of the University of California to assess Prop 209’s implementation. What he saw, he generally liked. The campuses seemed to be flourishing and at peace.
