GLASTONBURY, ENGLAND
Only the spire of medieval St. Michael’s church remains on Glastonbury Tor, a hill that is visible from afar in Somerset County. According to the Arthurian legend, it is the entrance to Avalon, a mythical place where the legendary king awaits his return into this world.
During an exposure of four minutes, a visitor stood still as I ran into the frame, popping a few strobes onto the grass. Meanwhile, my assistant moved in and out of the Tor, firing a flash onto it from both the inside and outside.
