Abandoned for a hundred years, Sababurg Castle, also known as the Sleeping Beauty castle, has awakened as a hotel fit for make-believe.

To illuminate the flowers in the foreground, I used a complicated set of multiple exposures. A basic exposure of several minutes gave me the initial image of the castle and the sky. Without additionally lighting the foreground, the tiny blooms of the flowers would not have been visible. I had my assistant trigger about 15 additional short exposures without advancing the film.
