7. Future Applications

This chapter is a little different from those that came before. Everything we have described up until now is real technology that exists today and that has been used repeatedly, both internally at IBM and on customer engagements. In this chapter, nothing we discuss exists yet, except in my head. As I’ve exposed this technology to more and more people and shown them the breadth of applications that the method can successfully handle, frequently I am asked the question, “Can it do X?,” where X is something totally off the wall that I never considered to be within the realm of possibility when the method was conceived.
