This chapter describes the features and appeals of various biomes and gives you an overview of the creatures you’ll face along the way.

Sightseeing in the Biomes

A biome is a specific climate that defines the look and feel of an area in the world. Biomes, which never change, are strictly defined by their looks and faculties. You encounter many different types of biomes in Minecraft, as shown in Figure 7-1.
