Part 3 summary

In this third part of the book, we have shown you that:

  • All things including our emotions will change and go (and come again).
  • We do not need to be still, quiet, peaceful or happy to practise mindfulness.
  • No matter how busy you are, you can make a purposeful effort to notice your emotions in any given moment, the ‘good’ and the ‘bad’.
  • Trying to eradicate difficult emotions just causes you to become busier and more stressed and unhappy.
  • There are deeper feelings beneath your busyness and stress that we try to escape from – this causes more busyness and unhappiness.
