The CompTIA Security+ certification is an international, vendor-neutral credential that validates a candidate’s knowledge of industry-recognized security principles and best practices. CompTIA recommends that exam candidates have at least two years of experience in IT administration with an emphasis on security. CompTIA also suggests that candidates have day-to-day technical information security experience and a broad knowledge of security concerns and implementation.
