Fitting the TB-F Curve in Chart Views Other than Equivolume

Figure 5.3 shows the weekly bars chart of Bruker Corp. (BRKR), during its accelerated uptrend in 2009, to which the topfinder has been fit to the pullback marked Fit Point—the week ending September 25.

As of this writing, the topfinder is 90 percent complete, with the horizontal position of the end projected to be at the dotted vertical line. This is a weekly bars Equivolume chart in MetaStock. This example was chosen because the price box at the fit point is so much larger than all the other ones that it clearly illustrates the problem of using the Candlevolume display when fitting a TB-F curve.
