MIDAS Support and Resistance (S/R) Curves and Day Trading

As someone who predominantly works intraday, I have come to see the value of the MIDAS system as a standalone approach to technical trading as well as a method that can be implemented alongside other technical indicators. The aim of the present chapter is to discuss these two factors while expanding on previous observations on using the MIDAS S/R curves intraday.1 Throughout the discussion there is a practical focus on trading with MIDAS curves, since, as observed, the main weakness in Levine's work was the absence of direction on how MIDAS curves should be traded aside from their obvious role in forecasting market direction.
