CW Radar, FMCW Radar, and Pulse Radar

13.1 INTRODUCTION

The radar system main function is to detect the target first and then extract the parameters such as range and velocity of each target. The range and velocity estimation are mainly dependant on the accuracy of Doppler frequency and time delay measurement. A radar transmits either continuous waves or a sequence of pulses in most radar applications.
