Limiting the data by user – Security Filters

Security Filters work similarly to regular Filters by adding a WHERE clause to the Report SQL.

However, the following are key differences between Security Filters and regular Filters:

  • Security Filters are tied to a User or User Group
  • Security Filters are applied to every query that a User or User Group executes within a given Project
  • Security Filters can only be created based on Attributes and not Metrics
