MicroStrategy Database Connections Monitor shows all Busy and Cached connections to databases. There are two types of connections shown:
- Connections to the Metadata: Shown as <Repository Connection>, they are opened when the User accesses any Project, even if they don't execute any Reports.
- Connections to the source database: Shown as <Database Instance name>, they are opened any time a non-cached Report or Intelligent Cube is executed or non-cached elements are browsed. These connections can also be as follows:
- Busy: This status is shown when the connection is processing a job.
