Navigating the Tabs

You navigate MSE via a series of tabs, one each for a particular program function. These tabs include the following:

• Home, which is your home base for using MSE. This tab informs you of your protection status and offers a Scan Now button to manually scan your system for malware. In addition, if there is an immediate threat to your system, that threat is noted on the Home tab along with a Clean Computer button; click this button to remove the malware from your system.

• Update, which displays the status of the program’s malware definitions, and enables you to immediately update the definitions library by clicking a single button.

• History, which displays a list of suspicious items detected, quarantined, and allowed ...
