Using the Group Policy Snap-In

The policies described in Tables Table 22-1, Table 22-2 and Table 22-3 can all be viewed and modified using the Group Policy snap-in for MMC. A console containing this snap-in is included with Windows XP and Windows 2000; the easiest way to open it is to type gpedit.msc at a command prompt. Figure 22-3 shows the Group Policy console.

Group Policy in Windows XP includes an Extended tab, which displays a description of any policy you select in the Administrative Templates folders.
