Fighting Back

So what do you do if your computer is repeatedly attacked? You can track down and report the offenders to their ISP. A few ISPs are responsive to well-documented complaints and willing to pull the plug on system abusers. Unfortunately, most large ISPs are swamped with reports, understaffed because of competitive market conditions, and rarely willing to deal with any complaint that doesn't come from the FBI. But it's worth a try.
