The Media Guide: A Guide to Media!
Although it isn't much more than a Web site accessed through Media Player, the Media Guide (see Figure 29.5) is updated daily and often has something interesting. Most of the items listed will open up in Internet Explorer, and the media you selected to audition will likely appear in that same Web page in Internet Explorer and not in Media Player 8 itself. Regardless, you can set a single option as follows:

Click on Tools, Options.

Select the Player tab.

In the Player Settings section, you can deselect the Start Player In Media Guide option.
