Now Playing

The Now Playing component is where most of the action takes place. Although playback can be started and stopped from any component, this one is where you can see Visualizations (more on that a little later) and video. Unless you use Media Player solely for multimedia file management and don't play back any files at all, this is where you will spend most of your time.

The Playlist (to the far right) and the Equalizer and Settings (across the bottom) bars are shown by default. You can toggle these on and off by clicking the rightmost buttons that appear to the left of the Playlist selector, as indicated in Figure 29.2. The third button is the control that changes from normal playback mode to shuffle playback mode and back again.
