Burning CDs with Windows XP
In other chapters, you learned that Windows XP can be used with a CD-recordable (CD-R) drive to burn your own CDs. You can create CDs that contain data files, or you can use this function with Movie Maker to create a CD that stores the movies you make.
It is important to distinguish between the capabilities offered by Windows XP and third-party applications. There are several things you should consider.
First, to record a CD to be played in a regular CD player, you will use Windows Media Player to create the list of audio files you want, and then you will save them to a temporary staging area for the CD-R drive to later burn onto a CD.
