Creating a Connection to the Network at Your Workplace

For most of this chapter you have learned how to set up a modem and configure a simple dial-up account to the Internet. However, if you will recall, two other options were found under Pick a Task when you clicked on Network and Internet Connections in the Control Panel. The second was to create a connection to the network at your workplace. You could use the simple dial-up method to connect to a workplace network. However, this second option allows you to more securely create a connection.

After you click on Create a Connection to the Network at Your Workplace, the New Connection Wizard will present you with two options (see Figure 25.23).
