Using Other Local Area Network Protocols

TCP/IP is not the only protocol supported by Windows XP. Refer to Figure 24.3 under the section titled This Connection Uses the Following Items—there are three buttons: Install, Uninstall, and Properties. You have already learned how to use the Properties button for the TCP/IP protocol.

Install can be used to install additional network protocols, clients, and services on your computer. Using Install will bring up a dialog box for choosing what you want to install—a client, service, or protocol.
