Summary

The Task Manager can be a useful tool for finding and keeping track of information about what your computer is doing. You don't have to set up a number of statistical counters that you may want to view (although you can select some items if you know what they represent), but instead can get a quick look at the CPU and memory usage in a convenient graphical format. You can also see which applications and processes are running on the system, and kill an application or process that might be causing you problems. Consider the Task Manager to be a quick and convenient tool for judging system performance and for getting rid of misbehaving applications.
