Color management is a system that makes sure the color you see on your display or printer is the color you want. Not all hardware displays color in the same way; each hardware device uses different characteristics, or methods, when rendering and processing color on a specific device. Even programs don’t all render and process color the same way. Color Management controls the relationship between the device characteristics and the display conditions to produce the most accurate results.
