The low cost and large storage size of discs, either CD or DVD (New!), makes creating and using CDs or DVDs an effective way to back up information or transfer large amounts of information to another computer without a network. Before you can create a CD or DVD, you must have a blank writeable CD or DVD and a recorder (also known as a writer or burner) installed on your computer.
