6.3. Summary

In this chapter you learned about the new disk, file, and volume management tools that are part of Windows Server 2008. On the surface it looks as if Windows Server 2008's new file tools are simply a repackaging exercise. However, Microsoft has greatly simplified the system administrator's job by consolidating the toolkit into just a few locations. The new Server Manager is a substantial improvement over previous management tools and will likely be the focus of nearly all of your operations in that area.
